As a skilled broadcast editor, I expertly curate powerful video and audio elements for both live and taped segments, ensuring narrative clarity and visual impact during major news events. I collaborate closely with executive producers to transform raw footage, wire feeds, and live sources into cohesive, high-impact stories.
During breaking news coverage, including high-profile stories like the May 2024 conviction of former President Donald Trump on 34 felony counts, the record-setting June 2024 hailstorm in Texas, and the tragic 2024 Orlando Halloween shooting. I rapidly source, organize, and manage media assets with precision and speed.
I efficiently coordinate, edit, and write content under tight deadlines, maintaining accuracy and storytelling excellence throughout major events such as severe weather outbreaks, election night coverage, and social unrest.
Curate, monitor, and gather live sources and incoming content for breaking news coverage across major networks including CBS, ABC, FOX, and their affiliate stations. Successfully wrote, produced, and edited 30+ news segments and packages weekly, tailored for affiliate distribution via Newspath.
Covered a wide range of critical national events, including the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on public health and policy, the 2020 presidential election and its ensuing controversies, the January 6 Capitol riot, and the nationwide protests sparked by George Floyd’s killing.
At 48 Hours, I pitched story ideas, conducted research, and supported producers with transcription, archival retrieval, and content organization. I collaborated with editorial and production teams to help execute compelling true crime segments and gained hands-on experience in long-form investigative storytelling.
